Yellow Eyes - Silence Threads The Evening's Cloth by Sol Y Nieve

Mid year update

Little has happened at Sol y Nieve over the summer due to personal reasons, but this fall and winter will hold many new things. Here are a few of them:

- Multiple new Monument recordings including an EP, a split (with who will be a surprise), a full length, and a POSSIBLE repressing of 'I'.

- A new full length from Teeth Engraved With the Names of the Dead. Expect something familiar but on a completely different level.

- New material from two new signees: Oyarsa, a blackened doom duo from Chicago and Dead Dragon Mountain, an industrial/experimental/black/doom duo, also out of Chicago. Oyarsa shares a member with Monument, and Dead Dragon Mountain is 2/3 of Land of Decay alumni Sun Splitter.

The websites back...

After many months the website is finally back up! Please let me know if there's anything that should fixed with it.

Exorsa now available

'Ten Thousand Miles of Arteries: Exorsa' is now available! As always, it is available from me (email me at noah@solynieverecords.com to purchase it) or Reckless Records and Permanent Records here in Chicago. Check out the website to listen to 'Death Cry'. I'll put up some other songs in the future.

TTMOA, TEWND

Two tapes that will be coming out soon(ish):

1) Ten Thousand Miles of Arteries: Exorsa
Blackened industrial annihilation from Chicago. This half hour tape will contain both the 'Holy Monuments' demo from 2006 and the 'The West was Nothing but a Dead Beast' demo from 2008. Neither demos were ever released physically. This tape is serving as a preamble to the first official TTMOA full length coming in 2011.

2) Teeth Engraved With the Names of the Dead: Kosmiche Death Worship
Bleak, terror-inducing drone from Oakland. This will also be TEWND's first physical release.

Website

We have a website now, though it's not all done. Keep checking on it...

Horizons

Things that are happening at Sol Y Nieve:

I) We're in talks with a couple different bands about releasing their stuff. Very very excited to be working with these fantastic artists.

II) A proper website is being made. Hopefully that will be up and running soon.

III) Monument is currently writing new material with a full band. Recording will take place this winter.

Thanks for your interest,
N.

Out of death comes new life.

I'm sure that all 5 of you that read this blog have noticed that it's not been updated in some time. I no longer work my cushy desk job that allowed me the time to service this site, so it won't be continuing in it's present state any longer. It will be continuing, though, as the blog for my tape label (which i have aptly named Sol Y Nieve) and news about my various music and art projects. All the reviews i have done on this site will be transferred over to my other blog, Catena Aurea, which may be updated on a semi regular basis. Thanks for reading this blog up to this point, and i hope you continue to do so.

Noah.
